Painted

1231-CurtisPainted Doors

House doors and garage doors.  Solid colors and abstract and representational.  Bright and dull.  All quirky.

Parker-FlowerFlowers Painted on Houses

We paint flowers on our houses.  More than you would imagine.  This house on Parker is the queen, but there are others.

Sixth-4Birds Painted on Houses

We also paint birds on our houses.  We also do this more than you would think.  The eagle at Rose and Josephine is gone, but the Escher geese are still on Oxford and many other little birds are all around.  Watch them!

I have been hoarding photos of unexpected colors found on house exteriors in Berkeley.  I haven’t come up with a presentation on them, but I dipped my toe in which these eight houses, painted colors that we don’t expect to see.
