Mail Boxes #6 – Structural Quirk

I have been away from mail boxes for a while.   In the last few months I have added a number of good animal boxes and a few little house ones, but no new mail box posting.  Until now.  There are any number of mail songs still to be chosen for theme songs, but because I have kept you waiting, why not this:

Tired of Waiting

What unifies the mail boxes in this posting is the fact that their structure is quirky.  Not what they are, but how they get there.  You know what they say at this point:

So let’s bring on the pictures.

A simple steel post.  And stickers that add to the structural quirk.

Moving from the manner in which the mailboxes are supported, now let’s look at some quirky receptacles.

Pretty interesting.  I think that I have exhausted classifications for mail boxes and that all future work will be adding photos to these six postings.  But, you never know.

I took a print-out of these photos to my friend.  He was reading and barely looked up.

DADAManifbulletin

It is hard to compete with Dada, I admit.  But the one on Ensenada, the stacked balls, caught his eye.  He mentioned that he was working on a collection of photos of  mailboxes designed to look like guns, and the stacked balls could arguably be seen s cannon balls.  I asked him to put down the Dada and tell me what he thought of these structures.  What did he say?
