I asked the rhetorical question – what says Paris better than an accordion? I did not expect an answer to this question because I asked it asked in order to make a statement rather than to elicit information. But I got an answer – from Gabby. Wouldn’t you know?
Gabby had been in Philadelphia and stopped by the Liberty Bellows Accordion Store on South 6th Street.
He had previously sent my friend a big collection of accordion album covers. He had some serious rare accordion sheet music trading stock with him and based on that one visit has now sent me a batch of Paris/accordion album covers.
My friend thumbed through the albums. He liked what he saw and was glad that the albums were my problem, not his. He suggested, however, that for him, Audrey Hepburn singing “Moon River” said Paris like nothing else. “It doesn’t have anything to do with Paris in the movie” I said. Doesn’t matter. What, though, about the albums?
